Yoga is AWESOME for weight loss

Loved this book. Makes a lot of sense. Yoga can definitely be used for losing weight because it engages muscles and strengthens them. That is basically the gist of the book. And it is also true that Yoga can help in many other areas, from behavior, to perception, to keep anxieties at bay, and to unlock the thoughts and actions that connect us directly to food. In the book she shows a very wonderful routine that is easy to follow even if you are a beginner. I would say also to write a list of behaviors that lead you to eat. Using that list, when you do your meditating, start dissociating the thoughts and behaviors by doing affirmations as you exercise. For example, in my case, each time I go to the doctors office I get very anxious every since the sudden death of a dear friend merely days after a shocking diagnosis. Somehow, I associate comfort after the doctor with junk food, particularly chicken nuggets. It is almost an automatic behavior for me to stop and get anywhere from just 4 to 10 nuggets and eat them. I have been able to have great conversations with myself during yoga sessions, and slowly the routine has served as a way to substitute food. That is how you lose weight and I suggest this book---and a yoga instructor--for everyone.

I love how this author started out about metabolism and explaining ...

I love how this author started out about metabolism and explaining the effects it takes when aging occurs. I have always wanted to learn about Yoga and the benefits of it. This book is like reader friendly and I love how the author shared with readers dieting and outlined what different ones contain and how to transform your life through your diet. It was like re-setting your thinking on a healthier level. I love how she broke it down step by step on what to do from your 1st day on and how to put your metabolism back on track.

If you want to boost your metabolism and re-set a healthier lifestyle. I recommend getting this book. Excellent and I will be following protocol with this one.

You are Never too Old for Yoga

When I was in PE in high school I did Yoga and really enjoyed it, keeping it up until my twenties and then I stopped. I regret that I ever stopped because I can remember how good my body felt, how clearer my mind seemed to be and I really loved doing it. I have been thinking about starting it up again but was afraid I could not do it, after reading Ms. Feesah’s book, I know I can do it! The book is also packed full of great information about the different diets and she has it broken down into days of how she was able to transform her own eating habits.
