This book on nutrition is not one to be digested ...

This book on nutrition is not one to be digested overnight. Andrew challenges many mainstream guidelines previously considered cornerstones of healthy eating. There is a lot of research on nutrition, and one of the most important comments Andrew makes in his introduction is “…too much research is bought and paid for.” You only have to learn a little bit about Andrew to realize how much credibility he brings to this subject. Andrew offers a simple outline on page one, but trust me there’s a lot to learn in the following 127 pages. If you’re serious about being healthy and living the rest of your life to your full potential, get this book; then prepare for an awakening.

Knowledge And Passion In Every Page!

Unfortunately many people chose their profession purely for monetary reasons. However, it is clear that Andrew Johnston is not only wildly successful in his profession, but more importantly extremely passionate. Not only is Andrew one of the top health and fitness coaches on the planet, his passion pours out on every page of his book. Andrew is not just another “talking head.” Andrew found out the hard way what it takes to survive in the modern world and has a heart-touching personal story. Andrew is now sharing his in depth knowledge with all who will listen. I strongly recommend this book and wish Andrew all the success that he deserves.

This book is a must have for you and anyone you care about, who is actively involved in their health

This book and Andrew Johnston in general, has become my go to for pragmatic, scientifically backed, and non-intimidating nutrition and health advice. I am a weightlifter and long course triathlete, and those are hard enough to juggle and stay healthy and injury free, but add a full time job as a geneticist in a private laboratory and clinic and compound it with a leukemia diagnosis in 2014, I was falling apart from the inside out. I am by no means an expert in nutrition, but the pathophysiology of my illness in relation to external stressors like training and work and how to mitigate that while still living my life, was my main equation to figure out. I have followed Andrew for a few years and his publications are just what his book says, spot on. So when I saw that he was publishing a book to compile his expertise and advice, I had to get my hands on it.
Spot On: Nutrition does not disappoint. Succinct and sound advice, backed by research and quite frankly ahead of the curve as you will see with published reports from journals now that are contradicting prior scientific "law" and affirming what Andrew has been prescribing for a long time (cholesterol demonization from eggs, now being retracted by research, is the most recent case of this). This book is a must for yourself and anyone you love that needs some guidance. This isn't a book that you need a PhD in Nutritional Sciences to understand either! I had a professor in grad school who told us that the smartest people can take the most intricate and convoluted theories and explain them in a way that anyone can understand, and that was the mark of a distinguished scientist who knew his discipline. Andrew is one of these gifted people who is so passionate and knowledgeable that he is able to take his expertise and translate it into a book that everyone can enjoy and understand. If you care about your health, this book is a must.
