worth purchasing book

It's a very impressive book to read about Yoga eating and fasting! I read this book, my husband is reading it now, and I plan to read it again when he is done. This book makes you consider your life and what is at the root of why you eat the way you do. There is no diet to follow, only contemplation. The author urges you to listen and to trust your own body. Warning: this book may change your whole life, not just your eating habits. Worth purchasing book!

Denzil Darel has written tow book dealing with Yoga – YOGA FOR BEGINNERS and YOGA: FASTING FOR HEALTH. In this very brief book (only 20 pages) Denzil offers more information about the benefits of fasting along with the theory behind fasting.
His organization is evident in his chapter headings: But is It Really So?, On the Sources of Energy During Fasting, Factors That Increase Blood Sugar Level, How the Nerve Cells Can Receive Energy on the Second or Third Day of Fasting?, Some "Anti-Miracles" of Fasting, This Mysterious Lipoprotein Lipase…, Diet is a Direct Way to Cellulite!, Anti-cellulite Diet or What Should Be Done to Prevent Fat Accumulation, and Fasting As a "Great Polluter." In each of these section Denzil uses sound nutritional research and shares practices and results that few other writers have made public.
An example of his communication follows: ‘When the body does not receive any food – no protein, fats or carbohydrates, but, for example, only water in unlimited quantities. And sometimes even without water – when it concerns the so-called "dry" fasting... All this means only that the body has for some, fortunately, limited time to satisfy its internal needs for energy sources from its own internal resources. Just because it can take them from nowhere else…’ And ‘This explains the universal nature of the therapeutic effect of hunger – if corticosteroids reduce inflammation, that is, the disease symptoms, then in the course of fasting, when the release of glucocorticoids significantly increases, the patient will feel a significant relief to the status in a variety of pathologies. And in cases where the immunity itself is the pathogen, also the full recovery. This is the reason of the high efficiency of fasting in the broadest spectrum of autoimmune diseases. That is why fasting is used, for example, in a variety of allergies, including for the treatment of bronchial asthma of allergic nature, which, incidentally, has been confirmed by the clinical trials. Further, since according to modern scientific ideas most of the common chronic diseases (arteriosclerosis, rheumatism, diabetes, etc.) have the autoimmune nature, that rapid, almost
miraculous effect of fasting as a therapeutic agent becomes clear.’
From the manner in which Denzil closes the book it is obvious that there are further volumes to follow. It is refreshing to read his well-considered thoughts on fasting for health – not just fasting for weight loss or cleansing! A very worthwhile little book. Grady Harp, August 15
