The book is also written in a tone that makes the reader feel empowered – that he can be in control of his own health and well-being. The book is short enough to be read in one sitting, leaving the reader feeling encouraged and hopeful about reversing or at least improving his condition. Causes of high blood pressure are explained in short, clear chapters, and different ways of combating the problem are offered. Exercise and a nutritious diet are of course discussed, but the author also offers creative ways of making life easier while attempting to get healthier: cooking large quantities of food and freezing daily portions, using a non-stick grill instead of an oiled pan for cooking, and consuming various natural herbs as opposed to synthetic medications.
