Dr. Katina Davis-Kennedy resides from sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She has been in the nursing profession since 2003 and has continued to build such an adept career within the medical industry. Dr. Davis-Kennedy began her journey studying nursing at Florida A&M University, and then went on to complete her master’s in nursing at Florida Atlantic University and doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Phoenix. Dr. Davis-Kennedy was a Registered Nurse (RN) for four years in the medical surgical trauma and critical care unit. She is currently a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) that practices primary care medicine, teen and women’s health. In order to feed her unfilled appetite for promoting health and wellness she spends her extra time getting others to be physically active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. She is an advocate for getting and staying physically fit for managing and treating chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and much more. People join her in her community when she instructs multiple exercise classes and camps in order to build awareness and encourage a healthier lifestyle. Not only is Dr. Davis-Kennedy a nursing professor, Family Nurse Practitioner, health educator and fitness motivator, but she also shows her passion for health by being a healthy-living motivational speaker and author.

I absolutely loved this book. I haven't had "The Talk" yet with children of my own, but have recently has a sex talk with a teenager within my family. Since I read this book I learned about STDs that were not discussed during Sex Ed. and more ways common STDs can be transmitted. I now feel like I have more information than the average person does about STDs and feel more confident and comfortable about sharing knowledge about safe sex. Let's Talk STDs is also very well written so that anyone reading, no matter the level, can understand exactly what is being said. I plan to pass this book on to my younger family members for knowledge and safety.

This book was very specific and to the point. It provided thorough information concerning STDs. Additionally, the information provided is up to date and detailed.
