Very valuable, non-intimidating material

I found this book is different what I expected and I mean it in a positive way. Honestly, I found the ideas and suggestion extremely effective in helping me to start meditation practice. This book provides many good examples and real-world instructions on how to implement meditation practically. After reading all the info I think the author must be quite a spiritual and experienced person; this book is very detailed, there are chapters on the history of meditation and all the different kinds of meditation, including my favorite which is candle meditation for relaxation and observance meditation for morning hours.
