Reading this book enabled me to learn the importance of Gut and Gut Flora in our body. Gut is the one responsible for breaking the foods that we eat and absorbs it's nutrients. It is important to take good care of our Gut to avoid certain conditions like internal dysbiosis which deals with the imbalance of Gut Flora. Listed in this book are some of the ways on how you can take care of your gut correctly. Signs and symptoms that may be aligned to Gut disorders like internal dysbiosis is listed in this book so that readers may have ideas on how this illness would manifest. Various treatments as well as precautionary methods are also included in here. I can say that this book is a good awareness guide for those many people who doesn't know about it. I really wasn’t sure if I even had a “gut issue” until I read this book. Really the only reason I grabbed it is because I’m always interested in ways I can improve my health.

After reading through the book, though, I’m 90% sure I have some sort of gut flora disturbance.

I used to take probiotics, but stopped because I thought they were just a waste of money. However, the author has convinced me that they’re one of the best things I can do for my body and my overall health—not just for your gut.

I like that the author provides many small changes people can make in their daily lives to improve their overall gut health. Two thumbs up!

Very informative read on what you can do if you have an imbalance of gut flora and the problems associated with it. I learnt a lot about what to do to have a healthier gut and found the subject very interesting as I am always looking at ways to become healthier. Would recommend to anyone who wants to fin out more.

When I stopped having sex, I put on weight. I didn't make the connection. Then I became intrigued by something Dr. Oz said, "Healthy sex may help control the amount of food you eat...."

Well, I wasn't in a relationship, so I started thinking about masturbation, which was hard to do because I didn't want to have sex, much less sex with myself. Still, I did a little Googling and found that masturbation is a medically-recognized term for a normal and harmless activity that is performed by most people and has a lot of physical and psychological health benefits: reduced stress and anxiety, better sleep, better mood, increased sex drive, increased confidence and self-esteem, better thinking and coping mechanisms, less sadness, and relief from aches and pains. Plus, women who experience more orgasms are shown to have greater resistance to type 2 diabetes. I don't know about you, but I had no idea that masturbation was so good for women health-wise.

I learned that stress or a decrease in sex hormones can cause women to slip into a state and habit of non-sexuality. I started reading the works of women sexologists dating back to the 1950s, and learned how to go about regaining my sex drive. I kept reading and got inspired. I started masturbating, even though I wasn't in the mood... at least not at first.

After a couple weeks I noticed that I wasn't as hungry during the day and not snacking so much at night, but the big surprise was that when I turned myself on, food cravings turned off.

After another week or so, I got my sex drive back. I was more relaxed and happier. Things that used to bother me didn't bother me as much. And without exercising more or dieting, I was thinner. It occurred to me that I really had been using food as a substitute for sexual fulfillment.

I don't think masturbation will solve every woman's weight problem, but I think it will help many. From personal experience, friends, and bloggers, there seems to be a cause and effect relationship between a lack of sexual fulfillment and weight gain, and between being sexually fulfilled and normal weight.

Why not try it? It'll take some practice but in a few weeks, you just might weigh less and feel better.

I'll share with you what I found out about how to bring back one's sex drive, no matter how many years it's been, regardless of age, how to achieve orgasms consistently (a problem of mine since forever), and which products work well for me and others. I'll help you get over or at least come to terms with the stigma that's associated with female masturbation. And for couples, I'll show you that, when women masturbate, it improves sex with their partner.

I have known the author C C Davis for nearly a decade. We both had some weight to lose and tried many diets and strategies to get the excess pounds off, all to no avail. Then I got busy on my master's thesis and didn't see any of my friends for months. The next time I saw CC she was thin; and I don't mean down a few pounds, I mean she had completely lost the extra weight. I kept, exclaiming how amazing she looked and asking how she had done it. She felt I wasn't ready to hear it then, which I wasn't, but assured me that she would reveal all in good time. This is that reveal. When I read her eBook, I was struck by the research she had done and the tactfulness she displayed in handling the topic; true to the brilliant vibrant woman that she is.

More orgasms, less weight - what's not to like?

CC Davis has produced a book that is both accessible and well-grounded in its research and analysis. At first, the premise may strike you as far-fetched, but as you read the book, you'll start to think of women you know - maybe even yourself - who aren't regularly having orgasms and who now seem to derive a great deal of their sensory pleasure from food.
Food is great, but as the author notes, a tendency to overeat can backfire. Have an orgasm (or many) instead! And as CC Davis argues, it's time to move past the taboos around women and masturbation. On so many levels, this work hits a sweet spot.

Refreshing approach (based on scientific and popular beliefs) to happiness AND the never-ending path to loving our bodies and, therefore, ourselves. Thank you, Ms Davis, for this refreshing, yet seemingly outrageous approach! We girls need more innovation, like this, to feeling better on multiple fronts. Cannot wait until we no longer feel the need for shame. This book is a great step forward!

Many adults do not realize that their problems stem from ADD/ADHD symptoms, and many others either cannot afford screening or do not realize help is available.

What is ADD/ADHD?
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are both terms that describe the same neurobehavioral disorder. While ADD was used in the past, ADHD is now the encompassing term used for this disorder, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). Therefore, the rest of this guide will refer to this condition as ADHD, although ADD is still correct to use in some circles.

There are three types of ADHD, and they do not all include being hyperactive or impulsive. In fact, the first type of ADHD, which used to be referred to as ADD includes symptoms such as not being able to pay attention very well, or being easily distracted, yet not hyperactive or impulsive.

Another type of ADHD includes symptoms such as being hyperactive or impulsive, yet can easily pay attention and is not easily distracted. Then the third type of ADHD includes symptoms of being inattentive, easily distracted, hyperactive, and/or impulsive. You will learn more details about these symptoms in the next chapter.

For now, it is important to understand that a neurobiological disorder is not a mental illness such as depression or anxiety, although you can become depressed or anxious due to living with the symptoms of ADHD. There is no blood test or physical screening that can be done to diagnose this disorder, and it is more difficult to gain a diagnosis as an adult than it is for a child.

Science still has not come to any definite conclusions about what causes ADHD. Genetics, the environment, and food additives are three popular suspects, yet this has not been proven. What we do know is that this disorder is not your choice or your fault.

The good news is that ADHD in adults, and in children is very treatable. Amazing Resource!

I sooo needed this book, I have someone close to me that has ADHD and is very frustrating at times trying to deal with her. This wonderful book has given me great insight into this disorder and how I may better handle things from my end. I have also been reading it to her and she seems open to try some of the excellent tips and tricks given. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has to deal with this disorder on a daily basis or to anyone that has it, just to use a quick reference guide in times of need.

Maybe it was sort of easy, for people who don't know much about ADHD. Useful however. I have to find out how to better deal with someone who has this disorder and I learned a lot of things I didn't think of before, such as a spiritual approach together with an emotional one.

It works but...

Easy to read but overall a complex diet with tons of measuring. While I have lost 30 lbs with this diet in the past it is very complex and not easy to maintain. Great for those with a ton of discipline.

Please don't waste your money on this title!

This book nothing more than a printed mediocre blog post. There is literaly just 4 pages of content and the rest is recipes that are NOT broken down by block size. You will learn nothing of substance and the recipes are useless. Get "A Week in the Zone" be Dr. Barry Sears instead, it's everything this book it not.

This is my first time to read a zone diet book.

This is my first time to read a zone diet book. My friend had recommended me to try zone diet but I really don’t have any idea what this diet is all about. This book begins with brief introduction on who developed zone diet, what zone diet is and its benefits. This book would be my guide in achieve my desired weight lose plus the fact that this diet can be of good prevention of cardiovascular diseases. This book is not just what zone diet is but there are some delicious recipes which are all easy to prepare. Awesome book!

Hard to believe we are separated by 2000 years. More like he is having a morning coffee with you, discussing people and historical figures.Very perspicacious in his insights into people - more like a novelist-and a broad view.
Have to remember he was a patrician, wealthy and in favour with the emperor Nero almost until the end of his
life and had household slaves all of which may have given him a distorted view of the world.Talking to his household slaves would have been interesting too!
Of course, his view that men show their character in the manner of meeting their death,is all very well but we're all full of bravado till we have our guts shot out!
Being a coin collector, I particularly take to heart
' that man ... who arranges with anxious precision his Corinthian bronzes, the cost of which is inflated by the mania of a few collectors and spends most of the day on rusty bits of metal.'
The Stoic philosopher can still teach us!
I wonder how Seneca filled his days? Did he practice what he preached? Few preachers do!

Some accurate observations but I am not sure of his prescription

Seneca believes that many throw away many, and maybe most, of their days, which leads them at death to feel that life has been short and passed them by. For instance, they lose their days by pursuing their political ambitions, which makes them subject to the whims of others whose favor must be curried to win political office. Others lose their days in the pursuit of wine and lust; pursuits Seneca finds particularly wasteful. Other "engrossments" that waste one's days arise from the pursuit of the favor of what I would term "high society." Seneca's lists the ways in which one may waste one's days. It is in this waste that men come to believe that their days are short. The book is short and many of his observations ring true; for this, I recommend it. But, his prescription of pursuing philosophy as a more meaningful way to spend one's days and thereby lengthen one's life is, to me, unpersuasive.

A handy introduction to essential oils!

I have seen so many suggestions on the use of essential oils, but I really did not know the first thing about them. This book is a really nice introduction on the subject. It does not go into which oil to use for what purpose, but it does address what essential oils are, how to tell quality, how they are used, how to store them, etc. I especially liked that it addresses safety precautions, because that was something I was concerned about. Overall, this is a great, concise, well-written guide on essential oils. Recommended!

A great way to cut down on the use of sugar

This book have helped me to cut down on my consumption of sugar, such as carbonated soft drinks and more. The book is great as it offers many alternatives to common food items that contain sugar, and lists alternatives to sugar as well (stevia for an example.). There's so much good about this book that I cannot list it all in this review, but if you want to cut down on the use of sugar and loose weight I recommend it.

Concise and well written

I purchased this book to help me with a life long addiction to sugar. It explains what sugar does to your body. I was especially excited when I found a week's worth of recipes at the end, with comments and modifications. And it's food I already eat!

Throw almond butter in apples is a recipe? Really??

Should be called a pamphlet. 21 "recipes". Seriously a recipe to put almond butter on apple slices and a tossed salad recipe, ridiculous. Who doesn't know how to cut an apple and throw a nut butter in it. Save your money!!

Very helpful for an athlete strict diet.

i'm an athletic person and being able to come across this book, gives me more ideas on what to prepare for me and my brother's meal (he's a swimmer). Very good diet plan if you're in a strict diet. trying out something new than just all meat all protein diet. good job on the author of this book.
