The best planner out there for your big day.

Being married myself and going through weddings with a lot of my friends I have read many wedding planning books. This book stands alone. It is not like any other planner I have read, it is much much better.
The topic I liked the most out of this book was that it doesn't simply focus on what the bride wants. There are too many books out there that focus on the bride only and does not put any thought into the rest of the party or those who are attending the big event. This book makes the reader stop to think of their guests and their party. Can their bridesmaids afford to purchase their dress, shoes and pay for their hair to be professionally done? Can grandpa make the trek out to the destination wedding? Are we going to allow children into the celebration or are we going to provide a nanny? These are questions and insights that I have never seen in a wedding planning book.
if you are planning a wedding in the next year or two and are wanting a well rounded planner then I highly recommend this book. If will get you through the "yes!" To the post wedding blues.

beautiful and useful

This is perfect. My daughter is getting married in about six months so I thought this would be a great help to us both!
The photography of the book is so lovely and charming, and just visually appealing!
It starts out advising you pick what type of wedding you want, then takes you through the list of things you need to consider and to get done, such as the basics like setting your date, venue choice, picking out the fashion for the entire wedding party, menu, etc. This is all along with recommendation on how far in advance you need to get it done ( for example while the wedding is 12 months away, 9 months, etc).
This covers just about every important detail, and if any are missed, this makes a great companion book to other planning guides as well.

A Wedding planner for Today's Bride and Groom

As a person who has not only provided music for many weddings, I’ve also been privilege to help others plan and execute their wedding day! After reading the Loverly Wedding Planner, I HIGHLY recommend this book for the couples to help with ideas, organization and execution. My overall rating is A-. Following are my reasons why.
LOVE IT: 1-Organization of the book from creating your budget to reflection AFTER the ceremony. I love that it was in BULLET format so as not to lose my attention while reading. 2-The real couple testimonies. The book provided several testimonies of what couples experienced while planning their wedding. 3- The Sum It up sections that allows one to plan and keep track of what was discussed in the chapter. 4-Sample budgets- most helpful AND this is an area where many fail to properly plan and thus spend money they don't have to spend! 5- Encourages couples to be creative and DO WHAT THEY LIKE and not others! Very Flexible! 6-Modern suggestions with traditions. Challenges: 1-Wish it was spiral bound and vertical. If one TRULY uses it, I can see where pages may become frail. When I plan for a wedding, I always use it a spiral tablet or binder. 2-Sum it up sections on two pages. I would prefer if this was on ONE page instead of writing across the spine. As a left hander, it was awkward.3-lack of sample programs and reception order of service. I was disappointed that sample order of service for the ceremony and the reception was not including. Working with brides, MANY have no clue of what to include or not include especially if they aren't being married in a place of worship. Those places usually have a guideline for the couples to follow. Also for receptions. It would have been nice to have a recommendation of when to cut the cake, throw the bouquet and garter, first dance, EAT, toast and etc.
Overall, Ms Khalil has done a wonderful job in covering the bases for a wedding for today's couples.
