OH MY AGAVE!!! ;) ...the Agape Agave Brownies!!!

Wow...I'm thankful and feel inspired to have this book in my life and in my kitchen :) I love all food, whether it's vegetarian or not and I was lucky enough to have tasted the Agape Agave Brownies and let me tell you, the quality and taste of these brownies are DELICIOUS on any scale!!! I also happen to thoroughly enjoy yoga...I recently had to prepare for an operation and was told to do a lot of yoga to prepare my mind and body for a very hard physical journey in the hospital. I'm thankful to be on the right side of recovery and I've now been able to savor various recipes from this quality cookbook and just the presence of the yoga mantras/practice/breathing reminders that accompany each recipe just makes me smile and feel a bit calmer and happier every time I look at it. I definitely recommend this to those that are looking to make a healthy and tasty meal and want to bring a lil peace, joy and savory flavors to their day ;)

There are many vegan recipes in the book and the recipes that are not vegan can easily be made that way

I am thoroughly impressed with this book! The recipes are healthy, delicious and they are derived from everyday ingredients that people have in their kitchen. There are many vegan recipes in the book and the recipes that are not vegan can easily be made that way. Each recipe is paired with a yoga pose that is explained in detail. Moreover, the book itself is beautiful to look at because of the layout, as well as the interesting pictures and illustrations. I suggest trying Mama's Pina Colada recipe and the roasted beet salad. I am looking forward to trying the Agape Agave Brownies and the Zucchini Pie next!

I hate vegan food

Oh man. I hate vegan food. Gwen really knows how to turn that opinion around. These recipes are simple to follow well illustrated and most importantly taste great. I do recommend adding cheese and bacon to most of them as that improves all food. I'm a very spiritual person when it comes to bacon and I appreciate that Gwen and Skip respect that even tho the book is vegetarian in nature.
The Lotus Kitchen is a smooth read of tongue and cheek with serious yoga undertones. 10/10 would cook again.
